INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE LIBRARY
The university library was started in 2013 with the existing college library building in Jobner. The university library has an existing area of about 14000sq. feet which is mainly scattered in different units with environments to all readers and ventilated spacious air-conditioned reading rooms to provide dedicated services.
Mission and vision
The primary mission of the university library is to provide adequate support for teaching, research, and extension programs by maximizing digital information resources to teachers, scientists, students, researchers, farmers, trainees, agricultural officers, and other users of different units of SKNAU, Jobner. The vision of the university library is to make a Digital Resource Learning Center for all constituent colleges, institutes, and other units of the university. The objectives behind the university library is to create a digital learning environment adhering to teaching, research, and extension programs of the university along with comprehensive collections of conventional documents and a digital learning environment thatincludes, modern ICT infrastructure facilities wellequipped with RFID system,CCTV, UPS, AC, Xerox Machine, Dehumidifiers, Printers and computers providing Internet Surfing with 24x7 hours high-speed Wi-Fi Internet Laptop zone facility in the library, campus & hostels. Online Public Access Catalog (Web-Opac, CeRa online Journals and, online theses, lifetime e-books access,and Digital database services also provided.
Achievements of 2023
During July 2023 Appointments of Assistant Librarians and Library Assistant have been made to the University and constituent colleges of the university which will help in digitizing all the libraries and make a uniform data access facility to all the students of different constituent colleges of SKNAU, Jobner.
An Upgraded new Koha on Cloud (Version 23.05) was installed for Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University and constituent colleges so that every user can access the database available on our all campuses.
More than 2500 university theses have been added to ICAR Krishikosh for access facilityamong students and faculty members of SKNAU, Jobner.ONLINE- RESOURCES/ CeRa ACCESS FACILITIES

The University library has highly specialized collections of 54363 books in Agriculture and Allied Sciences which include Books, Theses, Bound Journals, Government Publications, Book Bank Textbooks, and CD-ROMs. etc. Central Library subscribes to 34 Indian print journals, 7 Newspapers, and 18Magazines. In addition to this,a 24x7-hour online access facility of 53eBooks (lifetime access), e-journals (CeRA access), and ICAR e-journals are also available on campus.
Book Bank Facility
A Computerized Book Bank facility is open to all students and staff of this college for their selection,issue along consultations of reading materials. An open access system has been adopted for consultation and selection of books. In this scheme books are issued to all SC/ST students free of charge and all other general categories of students are given textbooks on a rental basis (Rs 10 per book). The books are issued for complete one semester through a single window system i.e. RFID KIOSK system. More than 15000 UG/PG collections of textbooks are available to all students.The books are issued to students with10 books from the book bank and four books fromthe library.
DIGITIZATION OF LIBRARY
The library is fully computerized with KOHA - RFID SYSTEM under library automation services. More than 54344 book collections of the library have been tagged with Radio Chips for computerized checkout/check-in services on RFID KIOSK. KOHA (library software) online catalogue (webspace) facilities have also been provided to all users. It includes about 60000 books consisting of books, theses, journals, and other textbooks, etc.
COA, Lalsot (Dausa) is computerized & and enabled with an RFID system. All constituent Colleges of SKNAU, Jobner have been started working on automation of their Libraries through KOHA 23.0 library automation software.
LIBRARY FACILITIES OF CONSTITUENT COLLEGES
Besides main campus, the library infrastructure facilities/ e Resources / Inter Library Loan Services have been provided to the constituents colleges of the university . presently College of Agriculture located at, Lalsot (Dausa), Bharatpur , Fatehpur Shekhawati, (Sikar),,Basedi (Dholpur), Kotputli , RARI Durgapura , Jhilai Bhusavar , Neem ka Thana Sikar , Navagaon (Alwar ), Kishangarhbaaas (Alwar) and S.K.N. College of Agricculture, Jobner and .More than 69681 collections of books have been uploaded on koha database software which can be accessed through webopac facility (http://14.139.51.38/webopac): COA , Lalsot Dausa is also computerized & enabled with RFID system

FACILITIES UPDATED DURING THIS YEAR
A separate Reading room (VACHNALAY)has been provided in the library to enhance better reading facilities forstudents.Planningfor one more VACHNALAYwith 24x7hours high-speed Wi-Fi Internet Laptop zone facilities.
A surplus number of purchased textbooks and other desired books have been provided through inter-library loan services (on a loan basis) to constituent colleges of SKNAU,Jobner

More than 5000 catalogue records of the university library have been digitized and uploaded on kohaWebopac Opac Login URL: https://sknca-opac.kohacloud.in/.
More than 500 digitized materials (including Theses, Reports/ Question Paper / Manual/ Research Papers, etc.) have been uploaded on ICAR- Krishikosh Portal (under Instuitional Repositories) (https://krishikosh.egranth.ac.in/handle/1/84614). Free / Open Access e- Journals (ICAR) is also available to all constituent colleges of SKNAU, Jobner through a web link (http://epubs.icar.org.in/ejournal/ ).
