The College of Agriculture, Lalsot (District: Dausa) came into existence on August 17, 2007 and is under progressively developing phase. This Under Graduate College was started as constituent college of Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner that recently became a constituent college of newly instituted agricultural university (2013) named as Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner- Jaipur. The college possesses a land area of 51 ha and is situated at nearby state highway 11 -A about 33 km away from Dausa and 7 Km from Lalsot on Dausa- Lalsot Road. The nearest railway station is Dausa. The lead function of the college is development of well equipped human resource by way of imparting quality education to young students aspiring for their UG degree in Agriculture. This college has the annual intake capacity of 62 students at B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. Pt- I, out of which 15% seats are filled through AIEEA conducted by ICAR, 2 students from merit basis and the rest through state level Joint Entrance Test (JET). Besides this, the college has 20 seats available on payment of professional fee. The first batch admitted during the academic session of 2007-08 passed out in 2011 after successful completion of their UG degree and total nine batches have been passed till now. The university and college administration are striving hard to develop this college in a well reputed institute by acquiring necessary physical infrastructural facilities and engaging well qualified human resource in form of faculty
Accreditation: Our College was accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi in March, 2017.
Dean Profile and Contact Details
Dr. Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Professor (Horticulture) and Dean, College of Agriculture, Lalsot. He did his B.Sc. (Ag), M.Sc. Ag. (Hort.) and Ph.D. in Horticulture. from SKN College of Agriculture – Jobner , He started his career as Assistant Professor (Horticulture) at KVK, Navgaon in the year 1996. He served as Assistant Professor (1996-2008), Associate Professor (2008-2012) and Professor (2012 onward). He is Officer Incharge Agriculture Research Sub Station, Gonera- Kotputli, Dist.- Jaipur from September, 2012 to July 2020 and again on this post from 20.05.2022 and continue.Dr. Dinesh Kumar Yadav in a renowned scientist, teacher and extension worker. He published more than 15 research papers in various prestigious journals and his 2 research recommendation were included in package of practices for Zone III-A Semi Arid Eastern Plan of Rajasthan State, He published more than 90 popular articles.He is working hard at ARSS, Gonera farm and producing more than 4500 quintals quality seed of rabi and kharif crops during his tenure and generating 20-25 lakh per annum through seed sale.

Aims and objectives
Goal: The institute came into existence with a view point of – “Creating an enriched open source in terms of availability of sustainable human resource ready to take on the responsibilities of accelerating all round growth of the agriculture sector in the country.”
Objectives
(i) To impart technologically advantaged education in agricultural and allied sciences.
(ii) To take on the responsibilities of transferring upcoming technological interventions to stakeholders of agriculture sector.
(iii) To discourse the innovative means for exploring skill development and employment oriented programmes and interacted issue of applied sciences and corporate.
(iv) To undertake the integrated issue of agricultural curricula based applied corporate and research oriented outlook for its further exploitation for human welfare.

Project/ Scheme:
All India Coordinated Research Project on Integrated Farming System is running at Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner, Jaipur with its two components as (1) IFS Main-center at RARI, Durgapura (2) On Farm Research (OFR) at Lalsot, Dausa.

iii) Courses running: The four year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture degree programme is available in faculties of Agriculture.
iv) Facilities and infrastructure:
The college campus is well spread having a lush green lawn and characterized by traditional high ceiling buildings creating monumental spaces with minimal décor. The serene ambiance has inspired students to strive for excellence. The college is well equipped with students’ friendly infrastructure.

Administrative & Academic Blocks:
Institute comprises two building namely administrative block and academic block. Experimental laboratories, classrooms and teaching staff rooms are in academic block. Administrative block has Dean Office, Library, Store, Student section, Examination Cell, Seminar hall etc.
Students Hostels:
The College is having residential facilities to the students, which includes, two boys hostels namely; Arawali (32 rooms) and Vindhyachal (14 rooms) having total occupancy of 92 students, each hostel provided with common room, television room, water cooler and mess facility. There is one Girls hostel (Meera) which is under construction.
Farm: Farm area is spread approximately 44 ha out of 51 ha, in which 4.5 ha area is under cultivation. Seed production was taken during Rabi Season (2018-19) of Mustard Variety – DRMR IJ-31 and Taramera Variety – RTM-1351.

Library:
The
College of Agriculture, Lalsot has a well-established library which was setup
in 2008. It has a seating capacity for 60 students in the common reading area.
The library has total 4174 books which include 4010 in library and 164 books in
the book bank. It also has the internet facility for the students and staff.
Scholarships:
More than fifty per cent of students get financial assistance for their studies from different sources namely ICAR, Government of Rajasthan (Chief Minister Higher Education, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Labour Department, Department of Agriculture etc.), donors etc.
Placement Cell:
A placement cell is also functioning for shaping students in accordance to the aspirations of various employers exploring the possible and / or potential employers for the young graduates of this college. Students are getting jobs in Agriculture Universities, banks, government/private sector and NGO. They are also motivated for higher education or for self employment.
NSS Unit:
A mandatory NSS unit is also functioning at this campus in which 100 NSS
volunteer enrolled every year and financial assistance is given by Directorate
of NSS, Jaipur. NSS organises various activities viz; One day camps, Special camp seven day, plantation, Blood
donation, rallies, awareness programmes, celebration of special day, Shramadaan
etc.
Young Farmers' Association
All students automatically become members of the Young Farmers' Association-the students union at the college level. Objectives of the association are to encourage activities pertaining to farming and rural life and to instill among the members consciousness regarding the problems of farming and rural population.
