Prof. (Dr.) Laxmi Narayan Bairwa is a distinguished Professor of Horticulture and the Dean of the College of Horticulture, Durgapura, Jaipur at Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner. He provides dynamic academic and research leadership, fostering excellence in teaching, research, and extension activities that enhance horticultural education and sustainable agricultural practices in the semi-arid regions of Rajasthan. Dr. Bairwa’s research portfolio encompasses crop production and quality improvement, particularly in vegetable crops such as bottle gourd and knol-khol, focusing on optimizing nutrient management, growth regulators, and bio-regulatory practices under field conditions.He completed his B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and M.Sc. (Agriculture) Horticulture from Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Agricultural University, Udaipur in 1991 and 1994, respectively, under Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. He earned his Ph.D. (Horticulture) from SKN College of Agriculture, Jobner in 2007. He has published more than 50 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has also brought out 10 bulletins and folders. He has successfully guided 07 Ph.D. scholars and 12 M.Sc. (Horticulture) students. He has served as University Head, Department of Horticulture for four years, Secretary, University Sports Board, SKNAU, Jobner for three years, and Chief Hostel Warden at SKN College of Agriculture, Jobner for three years.
