Brief Profile

Dr. L.R. Yadav completed his graduation in 1990, postgraduation in 1993 and Ph.D. in 2005 from Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agriculture University, Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. He joined as Assistant Professor (Agronomy) in AICRP on Sugarcane at ARS, Kota, Rajasthan in 1996.Thereafter in 2008 promoted to Associate Professor and as Professor in 2011. He worked on sugarcane, chickpea and wheat agronomy. Presently. He has worked as Associate Dean, University Head of Agronomy, Head of Agronomy Department, Head, Department of Agricultural Engineering, In charge, Farm & Workshop. He has served as mentor for 26 M.Sc. and 6 Ph.D. students as major advisor and more than 70 students as advisor. He has revised UG courses according to V Deans’ Committee of ICAR of Agronomy and Agricultural Engineering for SKNAU, Jobner in 2016 as Head. He has published 88 research papers, presented 60 papers in national and international seminars. He has authored 10 folders, 5 practical manuals, 20 popular articles, developed 7 production technologies and 6 book chapters. He has been member of professional societies like Life member of Indian Society of Agronomy, IARI New Delhi, Life member of Indian Society of Pulses Research and Development, IIPR, Kanpur, Life member of Annals of Experimental Agriculture & Allied Sciences, A.R.S., Durgapura, Life member of Alumni Association of SKN COA, Jobner.

As Principal Investigator, RKVY-02 and RKVY-24 project, successfully handled and completed the project and utilized the budget and procured many implements in college workshop for farm mechanization and construction of farm pond for water harvesting. In RKVY-12 as Co-PI of the project, was involved in the transfer of technology by way of field demonstrations on organic agriculture. Also handled a PVT trial on wheat. Shouldered important responsibility as Procurement officer in IDP, NAHEP project. As Course Director, organized a ICAR sponsored winter school on “Natural farming – Agroecological approaches under rainfed production system” during 8-28 Dec., 2022.
