Biography
Dr. Uadal Singh is Professor & Head, Department of Horticulture at Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, SKNAU, Durgapura-Jaipur. He earned his Ph.D. (2009) and M.Sc. (2004) in Horticulture Specialization in Post-Harvest Technology from ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi and his B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture (2001) from Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner.
A specialist in horticulture and post-harvest management, Dr. Singh leads research on sustainable vegetable cultivation, climate-resilient crop production, low-cost polyhouse technology, and post-harvest quality improvement. He has led major projects including “Farmer Friendly Approach for Vegetable Cultivation under Low-cost Polyhouse Structures”.
Dr. Singh has over 50 publications in leading journals and textbooks, including Glimpses of Post-Harvest Technology, Objective Horticulture and Floriculturist (Protected Cultivation). He has been recognized as a Fellow of the Society for Horticultural Research and Development and is a recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship during Ph.D. and ICAR-Junior Research Fellowship during his M.Sc. degree Programme.
He serves as an editorial board member, life member of multiple professional societies, and mentor to emerging horticultural scientists. His work contributes to enhancing food and nutritional security through innovative and climate-resilient horticultural practices in India
