Horticulture (Post Harvest Management, and Fruit Science)

Presently, I am serving as Professor (Horticulture) with specialization of post harvest technology and fruit science in the Department of Horticulture at S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner. Having 29 years of experience, I have been exclusively engaged in teaching of undergraduate classes, and teaching & guiding postgraduate and Ph.D students at S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner. Over the course of my academic career, I have successfully guided 30 M.Sc. and 8 Ph.D. students. I have also served as Project In-charge for two significant initiatives in the department: (i) a one-year training programme in horticulture for rural youth at the supervisory level, and (ii) an Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana-funded project on vegetable seed production with a financial outlay of ₹121 lakh.
I have published 96 research papers in reputed national and international journals, reflecting my sustained contribution to horticultural research. In addition to my academic responsibilities, I served as In-charge of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit, holding the designation of Associate NCC Officer with the rank of Lieutenant. I also had the privilege of serving as Dean and Faculty Chairman of S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner for two years, and as a Member of the Board of Management of Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University for two terms. Furthermore, I served as a Member of the Rajhans Nursery Society of the Government of Rajasthan for three years.
