Dr. Manisha Sharma is serving as Assistant Professor (Entomology) at Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute (RARI), Durgapura, Jaipur. She earned her Ph.D. in Entomology from SKNAU, Jobner in 2017 and qualified ASRB-NET in 2015, after completing her M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Agriculture from SKRAU, Bikaner. She has experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and previously worked as an Assistant Agriculture Officer, contributing to agricultural extension activities. She has been actively involved in academic responsibilities, curriculum delivery, and student mentoring at both UG and PG levels.
Her research focuses on insect pest management and eco-friendly control strategies for major crop pests. She has published numerous research papers in reputed journals with notable NAAS ratings, along with book chapters, technical booklets, research abstracts, and popular articles. She has guided postgraduate research on tomato leaf miner, pod borer, fruit fly, and sucking insect pests using sustainable and biorational approaches. Her work emphasizes integrated pest management and environmentally safe practices to enhance agricultural productivity.
