Introduction

KVK Kumher, situated on Bharatpur Alwar State Highway, it has 15 km from District headquarter. The KVK office is situated 1.0 km inside the state highway road at Belara village. The distance from central bus stand is around 18 km while on the other hand the railway station is around 14 km from KVK Kumher. The facility of transportation is available round the clock form the KVK Kumher.

The infrastructure facility of KVK Kumher will be used for smooth functioning  of  agriculture college are follows as:

  • Class room facility: 2nos of class room are there with the capacity of 50 nos of student fully equipped with A.V aids.
  • Laboratories: Soil Testing laboratory, Plant Health Laboratory and Computer lab with internet facility
  • Instructional farm (15 hectare) with demonstration units and Automatic Weather Station (AWS)
  •  Library facility are also available at KVK Kumher

Hostel facility

Hostel facilities are not available right now at KVK but the facility of rented house and Paying Guest are available near at Kumher town (2 km from KVK and peripheries of Bharatpur city < 10 km).

The 5 days orientation programme was organized for the college students, in which several activities were conducted and the students were participated in these activities with full zeal and enthusiasm and the prize was distributed for the winners by the chief guest district collector Bharatpur and the Director, Extension Education SKRAU, Bikaner.

For the purification of environment and for good initiation of college, the fire sacrifice was also performed in the class room of college with recitation of Vedic mantra and rituals.  All the students, staff of KVK and both the guest (District collector Bharatpur and the Director Extension education SKRAU, Bikaner) were participated in this sacred occasion. The plantation of different types of trees and plants was also performed at KVK campus by the college students and the chief guests.
